It really is sad that in both the US and the UK education used to be child-centered and developmentally appropriate. No more! It is bad for kids and will be bad for our economies when we end up with workers who lack creativity and independent reasoning skills. Then “the masses” will be more easily controlled by politicians and big business interests.
